Over the last couple of days I've been working on some new crafts.  For Christmas my husband bought me a sewing machine, so I have finally broken it in.  What do you think?

Valentine's day project

So this year, I decided I was not going to buy something commercialized for my son on Valentine's day.   I wanted to make something that came from the heart.  So while searching the internet for ideas, I came upon a wonderful post, that caught my eye.  What you'll need to complete this project:   Mason jar, ribbon, material, embroidery thread, poly fibre fill and a tag. You do not require a sewing machine for this project if you use the blanket stitch to sew the hearts. If you don't know how to do a blanket stitch, just google it, it's a very easy stitch to learn. Once you have made all of the hearts, hide all of the hearts except for one. Present the jar and give them the 1 heart. Tell them that when they find a heart, to remember how much you love them. Sometimes little things like finding a loving handmade surprise in your pocket after having a hard day can make all the difference in the world.
