Over the last couple of days I've been working on some new crafts.  For Christmas my husband bought me a sewing machine, so I have finally broken it in.  What do you think?

Valentine's day project

So this year, I decided I was not going to buy something commercialized for my son on Valentine's day.   I wanted to make something that came from the heart.  So while searching the internet for ideas, I came upon a wonderful post, that caught my eye.  What you'll need to complete this project:   Mason jar, ribbon, material, embroidery thread, poly fibre fill and a tag. You do not require a sewing machine for this project if you use the blanket stitch to sew the hearts. If you don't know how to do a blanket stitch, just google it, it's a very easy stitch to learn. Once you have made all of the hearts, hide all of the hearts except for one. Present the jar and give them the 1 heart. Tell them that when they find a heart, to remember how much you love them. Sometimes little things like finding a loving handmade surprise in your pocket after having a hard day can make all the difference in the world.

Crafty day

Well I had a successful craft day today.  Created some Valentine's day items that are for sale on my Facebook page (yellowbanana die cuts and more).  I also tried out a new recipe tonight, Penne, yogurt, cherry tomato pasta.  It turned out quite good :)

Sept 29th

So I've been working steadily on more Halloween stuff.  I created a bartender with a bar (we'll call him Joe).  I'm not completely done with this yet but this is what it looks like so far.

I also put together these little monster's.

Sept 18th- First off, I just wanna say "Happy Birthday Massimo"...Congrats Tom and Deanna :)

I Love this time of year....it means I need to start thinking about the Halloween poker party.  So this year's theme is going to be "Dracula and his demon bride's wedding".  I'm so excited about this theme because I really have some great ideas for this year.  Here is a picture of the bride and groom...lol

I hope to take some more silly pictures of these 2 in their more casual attire throughout the week.

 I think this year were going to have another full house of people.  I really LOVE the fact that everyone who attends this party really tries to come up with some great costumes.  Last year's winners were Tinkerbelly (Best dressed male) and for female it was Marilyn Monroe.  I have to mention this because it was really kind of funny, Jamie M who dressed up as Tinkerbelly ended up being called Tinkergunt by the end of the night.  As well Tom (who dressed up as an Omish person), ended up being called TomISH.  I voted for Jamie E for best dressed male.  I really wish I could post pictures of these people on my blog but I'm not sure they would appreciate it.  Anyways, Jamie E's outfit was the slapchop dude...totally looked like him with props and everything.  I'm so excited to see what everyone is going to dress up like this year.  I'm not even sure what I'm going to be...maybe something funny :)

My husband, son and I all went to Walmart today.  Yup, picked up some more Halloween stuff.  Is it bad that I have more bins of Halloween stuff than I do Christmas stuff....nah...lol
